Alma Atkins-Johnson, 90, Of White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Alma Atkins-Johnson of White Plains, formerly of Norwalk, Conn., died recently. She was 90.

Atkins-Johnson was born March 14, 1924, in Chapel Hill, N.C., to Robert H. Atkins and Hattie Williams- Atkins. She was a resident of Norwalk, Conn., for several years before moving to White Plains.

Atkins-Johnson is survived by her grandson, Robert L. Roberson, II (Kenetta), Cramerton, N.C.; two great grandchildren; two nieces; three nephews; a great nephew; and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Edward (Big Wheel) Johnson; son, Robert L. Roberson, Sr.; brothers, Algie Atkins and Thurman Atkins; sisters, Beatrice Atkins-Roberson, Mildred Atkins-Brewer, Willie Mae Atkins-Scott, Cora Mae Atkins-Samuel and Leona Atkins-Hall; and extended family, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Osser, Harrison.

Calling hours are from 11 a.m. until time of service. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 at Calvary Baptist Church, 21 Concord St., Norwalk, CT 06854. Interment will take place immediately following the service at St. John's Cemetery, Norwalk, Conn.
