WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Aida Maria Ayala-Ramirez, a White Plains resident, died Nov. 25. She was 97.
Ayala-Ramirez was born Sept. 6, 1917, in Puerto Rico. She was a retired seamstress.
Ayala-Ramirez is survived by her children, Olga Acosta-Ayala, Tomas Ayala, Hector Ayala, Jose Ayala, Miguel Ayala, Norma Ayala, Aida Ayala and Ed Ayala; brother, Jesus Ramirez; sister, Ana Maria Ramirez; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Tomas.
Calling hours are from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28 at the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc., 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at the funeral home. Interment at St. Raymond's Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Ave., New York.
