YWCA Holds 'Stand Against Racism' Event In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — The YWCA of White Plains & Central Westchester will be holding a “Stand Against Racism: Racial Profiling” event on April 24 from 8 to 10:30 a.m.

Planned speakers include Daniel Berger, the director of the Lower Hudson Valley chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union, and Rossana Rosado of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a former publisher & chief executive officer of El Diario and La Prensa.

The panelists to be featured at the event include Isabel Villar, founder of El Centro Hispano; Jay Stevens, Fair Housing Manager of Westchester Residential Opportunities; Reggie Bush, the regional director of the Westchester Community Action Program; Sandy Bernabei, president of the New York City chapter of NASW; and Stephan Cantave, a media trainer for Fast Trac Social Stand Against Racism.

The event will be at 515 North St., Lower Lounge, in White Plains.
