Widespread, Soaking Rainfall Headed To White Plains

HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- The National Weather forecast calls for rain, possibly thunderstorms and fog, moving into the area Wednesday.

Tuesday calls for a 30 percent chance of rain overnight into Wednesday, when rain is expected to be heavy at times into Wednesday evening. Wednesday rainfall amounts could be up to 2 inches in some spots, with most of the area seeing at least 1 inch.

Rain will continue into Wednesday evening with possibly a thunderstorm before 7 p.m., and showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 7 p.m. The storms could produce heavy rainfall and areas of fog overnight Wednesday.

Thursday’s chance of precipitation is 80 percent, with morning showers expected, and areas of fog until noon.
