WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The homeless man that stands accused of pushing a woman in front of a Metro-North train in White Plains is being held for psychiatric observation after two doctors deemed him unfit to stand trial, according to LoHud.com .

Howard J. Mickens, 39, was accused of pushing Wagner College student Maya Leggat into an oncoming northbound Metro North train at the White Plains station, according to LoHud.com.

Leggat, a student at Hunter College who lives in White Plains, suffered severe leg and finger injuries and is now in a rehabilitation facility after undergoing several surgeries at the Westchester Medical Center, according to LoHud.com
