WHITE PLAINS -- Independent White Plains publishing house, Novelista Publishing, will donate a portion of the proceeds from each sale of its new novel, "Lucky No. 5", to Literacy Partners, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving adult literacy in New York City.
Novelista Publishing was founded by White Plains native, Monica Michelle, and offers mainstream novels in the genres of women’s and children’s fiction.
Novelista launched "Lucky No. 5" as an e-book on Oct. 1. The book is available in print beginning.
“We are excited to be partnering with Novelista and new author, Monica Michelle. Promoting literacy and a love of reading and literature is what Literacy Partners is all about. Donations from the sales of Lucky will help strengthen families and communities in New York City through adult literacy," Anthony Tassi, Literacy Partners executive director said in a statement.
