White Plains Police: Unlicensed Driver Takes Wrong-way Ride

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A Connecticut man was arrested Sunday and charged with driving without a license, according to a police report.

Ali Yousuf, 30, was driving his Lincoln town car on Hamilton Avenue, a one way, around 3 a.m. Police noticed him make a left turn onto Bank Street, another one way, heading south, which is the wrong way, the report says.

The car then made a U-turn and began heading east on Hamilton Avenue, which is the wrong way on that one way. Finally, the car made another U-turn to come full-circle at the intersection of Hamilton Avenue and Bank Street, where police first spotted him, the report says.

Police pulled Yousuf over and discovered he didn’t have a valid license. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor. Bail was set at $250 and he was given a return date of Oct. 3.
