White Plains Police Check Suspicious Object In Car

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Police are blocking the White Plains Public Library parking garage entrance as they search a parked car that someone reported contained a suspicious object.

Police could not provide details on what the object is, but said they will tow the car out of the garage, then inspect it.

Both White Plains and Westchester County police responded to Martine Avenue, including a hazardous materials team that was working in the garage a little after 2 p.m. Friday.
