WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. The cement mixing truck parked in front of the White Plains Library Wednesday was pouring cement into the island divider leading to the adjacent municipal parking lot. A foreman said the divider was in need of repair.
The City of White Plains contracted Paladino Concrete Creations, based in Mount Vernon, to dig up the existing concrete and replace it. A foreman said the concrete needed replacement due to wear and tear.
Paladino Concrete Creations began work at 8:30 a.m. and expected to finish by 4 p.m. Wednesday, the foreman said.
