WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The White Plains Library welcomed a Valentine's gift Tuesday while stocking its children's library with 100 new books donated by the Brownstone Book Fund.
The Brownstone Book Fund, a New York City foundation that promotes childhood reading, awarded its annual 100 book gift to The Trove this winter.
Brian Kenney, the library director, said the gift fit with The Trove's goal of engaging young readers.
"It includes well-loved classics, such as Robert McCloskeys 'Make Way for Ducklings,' as well new and high-demand titles, such as Elizabeth and Victoria Kanns 'Pinkalicious and Purplicious.' There is sure to be a book in this collection to delight every child," Kenney said in a press release.
The books will be available at the library beginning Feb. 14.
