WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- In order to get the public involved in the planning stages of a Downtown White Plains Transit District, Mayor Thomas Roach’s office has launched a website that outlines the project and allows for offering comments or suggestions, according to the Examiner News.
Accessible here , the site contains background information, maps, information about public sessions and contact information to submit a comment, idea or question. The city received a $1 million grant from Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Cleaner, Greener Communities program, for the preliminary planning, said the Examiner News.
The city will hold its first public meeting on the project on Thursday, Feb. 11, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the White Plains Public Library, added the Examiner News.
