WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A Larchmont woman was named the new president of White Plains Hospital.
Susan Fox is the first woman to be president of an acute care hospital in Westchester. She was hired in 2010 as the senior vice president of administration and helped create the White Plains Hospital Physician Associates. She has more than 25 years of experience in health management administration, including 14 years as senior vice president of physician and ambulatory network services at North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System (NSLIJHS)
“I am excited to have the opportunity to help lead the Hospital in the new era of health care,” Fox said. “It’s a challenging time for the industry but we are confident in working with our physicians, nurses and staff that White Plains Hospital is strategically positioned to continue to bring exceptional care to our patients.”
Fox holds a BS in Nursing from Columbia University and an MBA in Health Care Administration from Baruch College/Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
“With the progressive implementation of the Affordable Care Act, our industry is changing rapidly,” said Jon Schandler, CEO of White Plains Hospital. “Susan brings a depth of knowledge and experience that will be invaluable as we position our Hospital to thrive in the evolving healthcare environment.”
