WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Calling all local fashionistas. The White Plains Hospital announced its plans to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October with a "Think Pink" t-shirt design contest.
The winning design will be printed on pink shirts and sold at the hospital's gift shop, on the hospital's website and at the Westchester Mall on Oct. 14 and 15.
All proceeds will go to t he Dickstein Cancer Treatment Center at the White Plains Hospital.
Designs, which may include multiple colors, will be accepted from Wednesday to Sept. 14. The hospital will pick a winner by the end of September and produce the design on the back of pink shirts in honor of the pink ribbon that has become an emblem of Breast Cancer Awareness.
The winner will receive two t-shirts featuring their artwork and a $100 gift card to Simon malls.
Anyone interested in participating should email their design as a pdf and a completed entry form to WPHThinkPink@gmail.com.
Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian submit the form and design. Additional rules and a submission form will be posted on the hospital's website shortly.
