White Plains Honors War Heroes With Parade

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — White Plains residents, dignitaries and war veterans took to the streets of the city Monday for a parade to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Led by Grand Marshal Lt. Col. Richard J. Bordonaro, a parade of veterans, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, churches, schools and community organizations marched down Martine Avenue to Main Street and up North Broadway, where a ceremony was held at the Rural Cemetery to mark Memorial Day.
