White Plains Fires Longtime Public Works Commissioner

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The White Plains City Council surprisingly voted to fire Joseph Nicoletti from his longtime post as Commissioner of the Department of Public Works on Wednesday, according to LoHud.com. 

Joseph Nicoletti was fired from his position as commissioner of the White Plains Department of Public Works.

The council voted 5-2 to terminate Nicoletti, who has held the position since 1992. Officials were not aware of any outstanding issues connected to Noicoletti, LoHud.com reported.
