The proposed plan, which would call for a nursery, elementary and high school to be built in White Plains, in order to unite the three branches of the school, has been a hot-topic in White Plains since the school bought the abandoned Ridgeway Country Club property several years ago.
Some residents have been concerned that the development would cause several zoning, parking, pollution and crowding issues in the area.
The council has faced threats of legal action from the Gedney Association should it pass the bill. The association is a non-profit organization with a current membership of 400 households that describes itself as "a group of concerned property owners who wished to play a vital role in their unique historical neighborhood."
Mayor Thomas Roach, who confronted an audience member at the beginning of the meeting for jeering, said it was likely a decision would be made next week.
