White Plains Car Scuffle Gets Bronx Man Arrested

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Officers on patrol spotted a Bronx man arguing with a woman on Mamaroneck Avenue early Sunday morning and police said things turned physical when officers approached the black Acura parked behind the two.

Police said Michael Green Jr., 33, pushed the woman towards the opened driver's door and used his foot to propel her into the seat. He then grabbed her by her shoulders and pushed her back and forth, slamming her against the center panel four or five times, according to police reports.

Officers arrested Green and charged him with one count of disorderly conduct just before 2 p.m.

Police said the woman with Green attempted to pull officers off him while he was being handcuffed. She was then escorted back to her car, where officers noticed rips in her shirt and asked if she was okay. Police reports indicate she refused medical care and drove off in her Acura.
