White Plains Bar Brawl Sends Man to Hospital

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A Jefferson, N.Y. man was brought to the White Plains Hospital early Wednesday morning after police discovered the 37-year-old with blood on his head and a cut above his eye near the intersections Mamaroneck Avenue and Quarropas Street.

Officers say the victim appeared "heavily intoxicated" and refused to provide information about the cause of his injuries. However, a friend of the victim's told police they had gotten into an argument with a group at O'Conner's Public House.

The fight then spilled out onto the street, where the 29-year-old White Plains resident told officers he attempted to break up the fight between his friend and three men and three women.

The six people then got in a car and drove north on Mamaroneck Ave., according to police reports.

Staff at O'Conner's told police there was no surveillance available to further detail the incident.
