Friday, May 25
The Secret Garden : 8 p.m. This classic tale, based on the novel of the same name by Frances Hodgson Burnett, weaves mystery, magic and a melodic score into the quest of an orphaned English girl to revive a once magnificent Victorian garden. This is its final weekend and includes performances on Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. White Plains Performing Arts Center, 11 City Place.
Saturday, May 26
Rally for Justice and Accountability : 12 p.m. The family of Kenneth Chamberlain Sr. posted on their Facebook page that they will demand the firing and at minimum the suspension of the officers involved in the shooting death of Chamberlain . The rally will go from the Thomas Slater Center on 2 Fisher Court to the police station on 77 South Lexington Ave.
Sunday, May 27
Bicycle Sundays : 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A section of the Bronx River Parkway is closed to cars for the exclusive use of bicyclists, joggers, walkers, scooters, and strollers. The 13.1 mile round-trip starts at the Westchester County Center in White Plains and goes south to Scarsdale Road in Yonkers. Participants can enter and exit through many different parts of the route.
Memorial Day Parade : 10 a.m. The parade will begin at the White Plains Public Library on Martine Avenue and proceed to the Rural Cemetery on North Broadway, and will be led by Lt. Col Richard J. Bordonaro USMC as the Grand Marshall. It will be followed by a memorial service and honors at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument at the cemetery.
