WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Community and health care leaders gathered at the Ritz Carlton to welcome Elias Nemnom, the new CEO and president of Westchester Visiting Nurse Services Group, which oversees Visiting Nurse Services in Westchester and Putnam.
Nemnom served as the the interim administrator for the Visiting Nurse Services Group before being elected to the presidency and CEO role this November. The Bedford resident held executive roles at several health care companies including, Alliance Care, Patient Care, and Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers, before joining the largest certified non-profit home health care agency in Westchester.
Patricia Siebecker, the companies' board chair, said the Visiting Nurse Services Group is "thrilled" that Nemnom accepted the role.
"He has shown tremendous leadership since he took over the reins as interim administrator in May. Against a backdrop of dramatic regulatory changes affecting the home health care field, he has applied his business acumen and extensive knowledge of our industry to create a dynamic road map for the Groups future," Siebecker said in a statement.
Nemnom said he plans to use new home care technology and expand the non-profit's specialty services to help the organization navigate a changing industry.
"Despite reduced payments and other state mandates that are changing the landscape of our industry, I see enormous opportunities for helping patients thrive in the home setting," Nemnom said in a press release. "To achieve our goals, we are stepping up our efforts to embrace the latest home care technologies and expand our specialty services in areas of greatest need, such as chronic disease management.
"In todays environment, collaboration is key, and we are forging strategic partnerships with other health care providers and community agencies to coordinate care for patients throughout Westchester and Putnam.
