WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Senior citizens will get a chance to show off their talents at the annual Golden Harvest Dance on Oct. 1 at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.

Doors for the 11 a.m. show open at 10:30. Westchester seniors who "have a special talent that they would like to share are welcome to become a part of the day’s festivities during the talent show," according to a news release from the county. Singers, dancers, instrumentalists, group performers, magicians and others can register by calling 914-813-6300.

County Executive Robert Astorino is expected to bring greetings to attendees before a box lunch served at 12:30 p.m. The suggested lunch contribution is $4.

The Golden Harvest Dance will feature the sounds of Stolen Moments Entertainment from 12:30 to 3 p.m., according to the release.

Table reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and balcony seating is available without a reservation. Admission and parking are free for the program. The event is open to all Westchester senior citizens age 60 and older.

The dance is sponsored by Westchester County’s Departments of Parks and Senior Programs and Services, and the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services.
