WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Westchester businesses looking for assistance after losing power during Hurricane Sandy will get some help from the Business Council of Westchester (BCW).
Businesses have been asking the BCW how they can help, while others have been asking it where to go for help. Now, the BCW will connect to the two sides, it announced.
“Clearly, the scope of the current crisis is very wide and stretches normal communications channels to their fullest,” said John Ravitz, executive vice president and chief operating officer of BCW and former head of the American Red Cross in Westchester. “To the degree that we can help bridge the information gaps and can assist businesses in connecting with each other in providing services, as well as those wishing to make contributions, and with the anticipated disaster funding agencies, we are here to help. Obviously, this is a time for our communities to work together.”
