WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- With winter fast approaching, Westchester County Clerk Timothy C. Idoni reminded residents to beware of unlicensed plumbers and electricians.

Cold weather and bad weather can take a toll on essential items in the home and can often result in costly repairs to keep a house livable during the winter months. 

“Westchester County requires that plumbers and electricians be licensed,” Idoni said in a statement, “and WestchesterClerk.com provides up-to-date information about the status of a license.”

The Office of the Westchester County Clerk oversees the licensing of plumbers and electricians and reminds residents of important hiring tips.
