West Point Steps Up Security After Possible Terror Threat

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Security has been increased on the Army's West Point campus after a potential terror threat has been discovered. The West Point Garrison, the campus military police, released this statement on their Facebook page:

“Military and other federal law enforcement officials are investigating a threat that may have been directed at West Point. 

"While those officials are working to determine the credibility of the threat, and out of an abundance of caution, the Superintendent has increased certain security measures. 

"One of those measures includes increased vehicle searches at the gates. We appreciate your patience and vigilance as we work to maintain the safe and secure community at West Point.”
