The cadets who visited include life sciences, psychology and kinesiology majors, and they had the opportunity to learn more about research on brain and spinal cord injuries, which are fairly common for soldiers.

Dr. Rajiv R. Ratan, who is the director at the research institute, gave the group a brief overview of the facility. A tour of the hospital and institute followed, and then they were served lunch.
