WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Melting Pot of White Plain s will host two fundraisers to benefit the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital this holiday season. On Dec. 22 the Mamaroneck Ave. fondue restaurant will host a "comedy for a cause fondue-raiser". Sixty dollar tickets will get diners a four-course fondue meal with entertainment from Dan Curry, who performs on the Last Comic Standing, Katina Corraro, a VH1 comedian, Anthony Devito, a Comedy Central performer, and Kara Klenk, of Comedy Central and SpikeTV. Each ticket will provide St. Jude with $30, according to Kathy Longo, the general manager of the White Plains restaurant. "We are very excited to offer the Westchester County community the opportunity to take part in a fun filled evening of laughter and delicious fondue cuisine, Longo said in a press release. "We are proud supporters of St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, and it is our hope that the local community joins forces with us to raise money to help fight pediatric cancer and other childhood diseases. On Christmas Eve the Melting Pot staff will donate their wages and tips to the hospital. Local retailers have donated gifts to the restaurant which will be raffled off to raise additional money for St. Jude.
