Tab For Metro-North Accidents In Millions, Report Says

In an effort to prevent the release of damaging information related to five Metro-North accidents, lawyers of the injured say the railroad is pushing to settle cases quickly, according to lohud.com.

Since May 2013 and today, the rail line has settled 174 of 292 claims related to the accidents, reported lohud.com.

The legal tab for two Metro-North derailments is more than $38.4 million to date and is certain to grow, a Journal News investigation found, said lohud.com.
