WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Wednesday's winter storm has passed, but driving conditions could be hazardous for Thursday morning's commute.

Westchester County remains under a Winter Weather Advisory until 10 a.m. Thursday, the National Weather Service said.

Widespread black ice is expected throughout the area through the Thursday morning rush hour. Melted snow is refreezing as temperatures fell into the teens overnight.

Thursday's high temperature is only expected to be between 24 and 26 degrees under mostly sunny skies.

Icy conditions will also be a factor on Friday with the forecast calling for partly cloudy skies and a high between 25 and 27.

Snow totals from Wednesday's storm in Westchester ranged from 6.5 inches in Bronxville to 11.5 inches in Somers.
