Snow And Rain To Hit White Plains Wednesday

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Snow and rain will likely hit southern Westchester County Wednesday through Friday, according to the National Weather Service. A coastal flood watch has been issued for the area.

There is a chance of snow before 9 a.m. Wednesday, followed by rain through the rest of the day. The high will be near 41 degrees. Wednesday night should have rain and snow, becoming all snow after 9 p.m. Winds will be between 23 and 26 mph, with gusts up to 37 mph. Between one and three inches are expected to accumulate, but there is a chance for higher accumulation.

There could be widespread minor to moderate flooding during the high tide times Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. Shore roads and basements could see moderate flooding due to the height of the storm tide or wave splash over. The majority of roads are expected to remain passable, with only isolated closures. 

Thursday morning there is a chance of snow, followed by rain in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 50 percent. There is a chance of rain Thursday night before midnight, then a chance of snow. It will be breezy, with a low near 33 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Friday there is a chance of snow before noon, followed by rain. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent, with a high near 44 degrees. Friday night will be partly cloudy, with a low near 31 degrees.
