WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – In rainy weather, a crowd gathered on Sunday outside the Westchester County Court House in White Plains near the Westchester County Police Memorial to hold a candlelight vigil honoring the memories of New York City Police Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu, The Examiner reports.
The officers were fatally shot while on duty in Brooklyn on Saturday, Dec. 20.
The gathering comprised police officers, military personnel and other public service workers. The vigil also featured a playing of taps and a bagpipe rendition of “Amazing Grace."
