The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Wednesday to Westchester County residents regarding the residency of 27-year-old Stephen Cannella, who has moved from White Plains to an apartment on Southside Avenue in Hastings-on-Hudson.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Cannella as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Cannella was arrested by FBI agents out of Albany in 2012 for promoting and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He was convicted in December the following year and sentenced to two years in state prison and seven years probation. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Hastings-on-Hudson Village Police Department.
