WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - A registered sex offender convicted of possessing child pornography has changed addresses in Westchester County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Wednesday to Westchester County residents regarding the residency of 27-year-old Stephen Cannella, who has moved from White Plains to an apartment on Southside Avenue in Hastings-on-Hudson.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Cannella as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Cannella was arrested by FBI agents out of Albany in 2012 for promoting and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He was convicted in December the following year and sentenced to two years in state prison and seven years probation. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Hastings-on-Hudson Village Police Department.

Further info on Cannella from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services can be accessed after entering the code in the CAPTCHA box found by clicking here.
