Senior Programs, Services Department Will Hold Budget Hearing

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Westchester County’s Department of Senior Programs and Services will hold the annual public hearing Friday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the County Center in White Plains.

The hearing is set to focus on the impact of federal and state budgets on senior programs and services.

The department will also unveil its 2014 Area Plan on its use of funds from the Older Americans Act and the New York State Community Service for the Elderly Program.

The plan will describe the department’s goals and objectives, as well as report requirements, allocation strategies, and schedules for the year.

Individuals will be given the opportunity during the hearing to speak out on issues and concerns that affect Westchester seniors and their families.
