Batty's Kids sponsored the sixth annual Toy Giveaway on Wednesday on Fisher Court.

"The importance and value of educating and supporting young people in our city is immeasurable,'' said Shanlander Drake. "Batty’s Kids toy giveaway and dinner is a great opportunity for the families of our community to get together and celebrate the holidays."

Batty’s Kids was founded by Ben Tobee and is a charitable organization dedicated to promoting empowerment and self-awareness of Westchester County youths by providing opportunities to build strong kids, families and communities.

The corporation is geared toward helping low-income families. Batty's Kids gave away more than 500 backpacks last summer. It also sponsors local athletic teams, provides back-to-school assistance, scholarship opportunities and other financial assistance to children and their families; as well as aligning them with positive role models so they can build high self-esteem.
