Jean-Pierre Filtcher of New Rochelle appeared in Harrison Town Court on a second-degree menacing charge, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct.
Filtcher was arrested Monday evening after fleeing the campus in Harrison after a dispute at a dormitory barbecue on Sunday. Earlier Daily Voice coverage of the incident, in which witnesses said Filtcher displayed a handgun at other students during an argument can be found by clicking here.
Purchase College spokeswoman Betsy Aldredge said Filtcher was not a student and never attended the state college. "To clarify, he is not a student at Purchase College," Aldredge said on Tuesday.
Two New York state troopers transported Filtcher to and from the Harrison Town Court from Westchester County Jail.
An attorney representing Filtcher declined to comment after Tuesday's arraignment. The lawyer advised Filtcher not to talk to a Daily Voice reporter as the suspect was led out in handcuffs, turning away from the camera.
