Police Say Man Tried to Swallow Heroin to Avoid Arrest

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Police charged a Peekskill man with tampering with evidence, a felony, after officers said he attempted to swallow what they believe to be heroin Saturday night.

Officers approached Jerome Sullen, 47, near 100 Fisher Ave. around 10:30 p.m., which prompted Jerome Sullen, 47, to try to ingest what officers think was heroin in an attempt to resist arrest, police reports said.

Approximately 700 milligrams of apparent heroin was found on three pieces of wax paper on Sullen, police said. Sullen was arrested and charged with second-degree tamper with physical evidence, a felony, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.

Police reports said officers asked Sheriann Dixon, 21, of Mount Vernon, to leave the Star Diner after she broke a dish and wouldn’t stop yelling around 5 a.m.

One of her friends agreed to pay the diner owner $10 for the mess Dixon caused, police said, and she was brought outside. Officers said they then told Dixon and her friends to leave “numerous times,” however, Dixon continued to yell and attempted to pull away from the companions restraining her and return to the diner.

She was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and then released on $100 bail.

•  Police said they are still looking for three grand larceny suspects, after they arrested a Brooklyn teen in the Westchester Mall Bloomingdale’s Saturday afternoon.

Officers arrived at the mall around 2:30 p.m. Saturday after police said two Brooklyn men were seen taking two Marc Jacobs handbags and one Burberry purse that collectively cost $2,251.

Sidney Ford, 19, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

His companions escaped the scene in a gray Toyota driven by a woman, according to police reports.

Police said they are looking for Bayquan Dickerson, 19, of Brooklyn, a Brooklyn male who goes by “Dickersonmsheik” and a woman named Erica in relation to the incident.
