WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A Yonkers man has been charged in the homicide of the White Plains woman found dead in her Main Street apartment with her 4-month-old daughter at her side, police announced Tuesday.
Michael Saunders, 49, of Yonkers was picked up by police Monday night and charged with second-degree murder Tuesday morning, police said. Saunders is expected to be arraigned in White Plains City Court Tuesday afternoon.
Police discovered Sabrina Durrah, 35, slain in her 312 Main St. apartment Saturday. Her 4-month-old girl was treated for dehydration at a hospital and is in "good shape," according to Public Safety Commissioner David Chong.
Police would not discuss when or how Durrah died.
