WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A clumsy shoplifter slammed into a Bloomingdale's door Thursday, spilling $1,039.86 in stolen goods, according to White Plains police.
Loss prevention staff at the landmark White Plains store told officers Bernardo Fleurima, 20, of Brooklyn, broke into a run when employees approached him as he carried two bags full of merchandise towards the cosmetics department exit.
Fleurima was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, and trespass.

- Officers say they received a call about a man masturbating in a 1999 Nissan Maxima parked on E. Post Road just after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say they discovered Joseph Grande, 28, of West Haven, Conn., behind the wheel with his pants unzipped.
He was arrested and charged with public lewdness, a misdemeanor.
