Parts Of Bronx River Parkway To Close Sunday For Running Festival

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- All lanes of the Bronx River Parkway between the Westchester County Center in White Plains and the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers will be closed for several hours Sunday.

The Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation is closing the highway in both directions from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday, due to the 9th annual Westchester Medical Center Running Festival, according to a news release. 

Residents are asked to use alternate routes to avoid delays during the event, according to the release. Possible alternate routes include using the Sprain Brook Parkway, Central Park Avenue or Route 22, representatives said in the release.
