WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Albert Moroni, the commissioner of the parking department and recreation and parks department, has resigned.
White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach accepted the resignation Tuesday. Moroni, who earned a salary of $167,063, will no longer officially be on city payroll in 30 days.
An email from Karen Pasquale, the senior advisor to the mayor, indicates that during the interim Moroni "will not be in the office during that time."
Deputy Commissioner John Larson will be managing the parking department and Francine Croughan will lead the recreation and parks department until further notice.
