WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – All White Plains public offices will close and there will be no garbage collection Monday for President’s Day.
Garbage collection will be on a modified schedule for the week. Residents on a Monday and Thursday schedule will have their garbage picked up Tuesday and Thursday. Residents on a Tuesday and Friday schedule will have their garbage picked up Wednesday and Friday.
There will be no paper recycling collection next week.

Metro-North will operate on a Saturday schedule. Hudson Rail Link, the Newburgh-Beacon Ferry and the Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry, will not operate, according to the Metro-North website.
All White Plains branches of the U.S. Post Office will close in observation of the holiday.
