Reyda LaMadrid was killed while delivering newspapers with her husband when their vehicle was slammed into head-on by an SUV driven by White Plains Firefighter Eric Refvik going the wrong way on South Lexington Ave., according to LoHud.com

Refvik was charged with being intoxicated at the time, LoHud.com reported.

LaMadrid was a native of Peru, and the family wants to return her body home for burial. Cathy Rogers-Ganns, a literacy coach at Harrison High School, where LaMadrid's son, Joseph is a sophomore, helped set up a gofundme site to raise $14,000 to help with expenses, LoHud.com said.

As of 10 a.m. on Nov. 7, the site has raised more than $11,000.
