The bill, which takes effect in 90 days, requires instructions for such animals as hamsters, chinchillas, guinea pigs, gerbils, rabbits, mice and rats, according to the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle.
Instructions will also be required when people buy amphibians and reptiles. In addition, the bill requires the retailer to send a copy of its instruction manual each year with the state Department of Agriculture and Markets, added the Democrat & Chronicle.
