The magazine will be honoring 10 individuals in the health care industry who exemplify health care excellence. The honorees will be announced in the May 2016 issue.
Nominations are being sought for those often-unsung individuals in the health care industry who have positively impacted the community as an individual or an organization. The magazine will recognize Westchester health care employees who have made a difference in a patient’s life, positively impacted a health care facility or continuously go above and beyond in their daily job responsibilities.
Last year’s honorees covered the full spectrum of the health care industry, including doctors, dentists, social workers, EMTs and government officials. At a celebratory awards luncheon, more than 300 attendees paid tribute to the work and dedication of the honorees.
Individuals in all health care settings – hospitals, home health care, health centers and clinics, schools, health departments, long-term care, emergency services, medical practices, etc. are eligible for nomination. A specially selected panel of judges from area colleges, health care facilities, health care organizations and Westchester Magazine’s editors will vet each nominee.
The top 10 Healthcare Heroes will be honored at a special awards luncheon in early May 2016.
