WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A "Musical Salute to the Military" at the White Plains Performing Arts Center on Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. will help support the financial and emotional needs of those in the U.S. military men.
The arts center will join forces with America’s Cause, a not-for-profit charity, to host the event, which will benefit the USO, another nonprofit organization that provides programs, services and live entertainment for U.S. troops and their families.
“I have been deeply touched by our troops who have given so much in service to our country, and this celebration is our way of collectively saying ‘thank you,’” said Howard Levitt, who founded America’s Cause last year. “The USO is well-run, and has specific programs to support the troops that are widely recognized and highly regarded. This is why we are lending them our support through this event, and we hope others will join us in this effort.”
USO Liberty Bells, a traveling song and dance troupe, will take the stage for the show. The troupe performs at hundreds of shows each year.
Tickets are $50 ($40 for veterans) and are available at the arts center box office, 11 City Place, White Plains or online. Half of the proceeds from this event will support the USO.
