Man Shot, Killed In Mount Vernon

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- A man was shot and killed outside of a Mount Vernon public housing project on Friday, according to LoHud.com.

Police are investigating the shooting of a 30-year-old man in Mount Vernon on Dec. 12.

The incident occurred at 70 West Third St., which is part of the Levister Towers housing project at approximately 10 p.m., LoHud.com reported.

Police released few details on the incident and have not released the identity of the victim. Residents of the building placed flowers as part of a memorial near the building's entrance and referred to the man by his nickname, Bae, LoHud.com said.
