Man Charged With DWI Nearly Collides With White Plains Officer

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — A Sleepy Hollow man nearly collided head first with a police car while driving the wrong the way on South Lexington Avenue at 4:09 a.m. May 19, according to a police report.

While driving east on West Post Road, Juan Molina, 34, made an illegal left turn onto South Lexington Avenue, a one-way street, the report said. A White Plains police lieutenant tried to get his attention by honking his horn. But Molina made the turn, forcing the officer to swerve out of his way.

The officer then pulled the blue van over in front of 135 S. Lexington Ave. Molina failed to complete a field sobriety test, was arrested and was taken to headquarters.
