Thursday, he filled a gas can to fuel his generator at Celestino's Gas Station on 457 Mamaroneck Ave., which was one of many with lines spilling into the street. The Gulf Station on 634 Mamaroneck Ave. had a line stretching back to USA Gasoline on 378 Mamaroneck Ave., which was out of gas Thursday.

A gas station attendant said USA Gasoline will likely have gas Friday, but have been unable to get deliveries in the past few days because of Hurricane Sandy.

Celestino's and the Mobile station on 417 Mamaroneck Ave. required police direction to control traffic while long lines created an obstruction.
