Local, State Leaders Call On Cuomo To Prioritize Infrastructure

Local and state leaders in the advocacy group Rebuild NY Now have called on Gov. Andrew Cuomo to prioritize infrastructure funding in next year's budget, according to Time Warner Cable News.

State Sen. Sue Serino reportedly said more than half of the bridges in her district need repair, the story said. 

Peleasant Valley Town Supervisor Elect Mark Figliozzi said one-quarter of his town's roads are nearing the point where resurfacing is needed, the story said.

Cuomo's 's budget division said about $3.7 billion has been set aside for a capital program for the Department of Transportation in 2016, which includes hundreds of millions for local road and bridge repairs, the story said.
