Legislators Override Astorino Veto On D.A. Raises

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Westchester Board of Legislators overrode County Executive Rob Astorino's veto of raises for assistant district attorneys, according to LoHud.com. They would total $575,000 and take effect in July.

However, the board could not override the restoration of one environmental position as well as bond money for six capital projects, including $2.5 million to replant new trees after Hurricane Sandy, according to the article.

Astorino did not veto a second environmental position added by the board, according to the report.
