Police everywhere receive calls for all types of service. Maybe a dog is loose, or maybe it's a real emergency. But sometimes, it might be a call for something, well, kind of strange.

That's what happened to the Ramapo Police early Monday when the department received an interesting call for service from a woman stating her neighbor was attacking her with electric rays.

According to a Facebook post, the department said the resident complained that her neighbor was attacking her with the electronic rays and wave energy.

The caller said the energy weapon heats her body causing her pain at times, but mostly just wakes her in the early hours of the morning. She is able to counteract the wave-energy by lining her bed and couches with aluminum foil, the post said.

Police said they detected no evidence of electronic harassment.

The name of the woman who made the complaint was not released.
